This Tick Performance Upgraded Stainless Braided Line for 2004-07 Cadillac CTS-V Using LS7 Slave Cylinder allows you to use a GM Slave Cylinder & Throwout / Release Bearing for 2005-2013 C6 Corvette & Z06, Part #24237634 in your 2004-07 Cadillac CTS-V. When you change the factory Dual Mass Clutch Assembly to a standard clutch assembly, the LS7 Slave Cylinder works in the CTS-V without a spacer but the slave line is far too long and needs to be bent in order for it to work. This Tick Performance Upgraded Stainless Braided Line eliminates the need to purchase the pricey CTS-V Slave and doesn't force you to try and use the longer LS7 slave cylinder line.

  • The picture above illustrates the difference between the long factory LS7 slave line and this Tick Performance Upgraded Line
  • Requires you to make a minor clearance area where the line meets the bellhousing
  • Quality Stainless Braided construction with black heat wrap to keep your hydraulic clutch fluid as cool as possible

OPTION GUIDE: Do I need the GM LS7 Corvette Slave Cylinder?
If you don't already have one, yes, you'll want one! It is a good idea to replace the slave cylinder every time you've got the transmission out as they're known to leak over time. Now is a great time to upgrade the factory release bearing support, as well, which is made of plastic and is notorious for getting hot and completely failing (especially in high horsepower/high abuse applications.) Our TICKshift Billet Release Bearing Support is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, there is no chance of it failing regardless of temperature. Available either simply included in your package or installed on your slave cylinder prior to shipping.

Option Guide: Do I need a Remote SPEED Bleeder Line?
No, the Remote SPEED Bleeder Line is not required for proper install and function, but it is certainly convenient! Our Tick Performance Remote Clutch SPEED Bleeder Line makes bleeding your hydraulic system a "One Man Job" and stays installed on the car so you can quickly, easily bleed your hydraulic system as often as necessary. This line requires transmission removal to install, so installing when you're installing the Slave Cylinder is your best bet! Available either simply included in your package or installed on your slave cylinder prior to shipping.

Option Guide: Do I need a Slave Cylinder Shim Kit (3 Pack)?
When replacing any clutch or slave cylinder in any newer GM performance application, proper geometry is key to a high-functioning, quick shifting setup. You absolutely should measure to see if a shim is necessary - every single time! Having this Clutch Slave Cylinder Shim Kit on hand during your install will make sure you aren't held up if during your measurement, you do find that a shim is necessary. You can see read all the details about shim measurement on the product page, here.

    Very well designed product

Most adapters you find are over priced but I was extremely happy with what I received with this one. The price is good enough that you're not left feeling like you've been taken for a ride and the product is really well made and works flawlessly! You don't need the adapter to make the LS7 slave and the CTS-V v1 work together but this adapter cleans up the install 100%, makes the install nice and quick, and looks like factory. I'm 100% satisfied for the $50 price tag!

Quality product, didn't mind the little bit of grinding

Posted by Clay on 30th Nov 2015

I've always hated the way the LS7 slave bends and is a little too long in my '05 V so this seemed like a good solution. This solution is a good one: quality construction and includes heat shielding on the line itself. It reaches the factory connection with just a little to spare. You do have to cut/grind an extra 1/2" or so out of the trans housing so the line doesn't rub but it's soft metal and a dremel can handle it. For those who like a clean install and having quality, flexible lines, this is a good solution.

    awesome

The flexline makes installing the transmission much easier compared to the standard CTS-V version. Plus you don't need to bend and tuck away the (extra-long) LS7 metal tube. Clearancing the front plate by about 1/2" takes a few minutes with a grinder.

Great idea, but misses the mark

Posted by JL on 24th Apr 2015

The line is well made using very high quality parts, and is intended to help with the popular LS7 clutch upgrade for the V1. However I'm not real happy about how much I had to grind away for this line to exit the transmission. Its the slave adapter fitting itself which offsets and negates the bend, requiring all that removal . I had to remove the entire diameter of the line and then some (more than 1/2"). Personally I think Tick could improve this line, and should. In the meantime, at least show a good before/after picture that depicts the necessary amount of metal removal to use this "solution."
