Our Elite Series of Camshafts are all manufactured by Cam Motion and are updated with a new version every time an advancement in valvetrain technology becomes available, so they're ALWAYS cutting-edge! Although we suggest measuring for piston-to-valve clearance during ANY camshaft install, every Elite Series Camshaft is designed to fit in a stock engine & stock heads with adequate clearance unless otherwise noted. These cams are designed to maximize power, reliability and valvetrain longevity.

Our Tick Performance Street Heat Stage 1 V2 Camshaft for 4.8L & 5.3L Engines is a fresh design, and is perfect for those who want to gain a noticeable amount of power while retaining great street manners and a relatively stockish idle. We strongly suggest the use of our Tick/PAC Dual Valvesprings and hardened pushrods with this camshaft (sold separately.) Hundreds of hours were spent developing this camshaft to perform precisely the way we advertise, so as a result, changes to the LSA or any other specification of this camshaft are not available.

Amazing
I just installed this cam in my 2003 Silverado reg cab. The truck had a ls6 cam before and developed a lifter tap, the tap got worse and became more of a chirp. So I tore it down and threw in this street heat stage 1 cam kit, new lifters and trays, milled the stock 706 heads .040, and threw on some longtube headers, and I built custom single 3.5" exhaust for it. What a difference! This cam pulls way harder at every rpm. I highly recommend this cam. This is in my daily driver and I love it.
