Revised January 2018 for easier install!
Is your clutch pedal sticking to the floor when you drive your car aggressively? Are you having trouble shifting your car quickly in the upper RPMs? Are 1st Gear and Reverse hard to engage while the car is sitting still? You’re not alone!
Tens of Thousands of Corvette owners have cured issues like these (or avoided them altogether) with our Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kits!
**NOTE: This kit will install in 2009-2013 Corvette & Z06, but a "Clutch Pedal Position Relearn" is required for the car's proper function. This can be performed with a TECH2 or similar Scan Tool at your local GM Dealership. This procedure is not required for 2005-2008 Corvette & Z06.**
GM did not want to replace transmission and driveline parts under warranty, so they designed a very weak, anemic clutch master cylinder barely capable of moving enough fluid to fully disengage the stock clutch in perfect working order. With years of wear (and/or an aftermarket clutch that requires more fluid to disengage), the inadequacy of the GM Master Cylinder becomes even more apparent.
Our Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kits are built here in the USA around Tilton 7/8” Bore Cylinders (the same used in NASCAR every Sunday) and are made adjustable so that you can tailor the amount of fluid that your system needs in order to fully disengage ANY clutch, from stock to hardcore race-only clutches. With our kit installed, you’ll notice:
- A slightly stiffer (we normally see ~15%), shorter pedal (in most cases) due to the increased cylinder bore
- A clutch pedal that is easier to modulate with a predictable, constant engagement point
- Effortless shifts at any RPM (especially high RPM), even when driving extremely aggressively
- Longer clutch & transmission life as a result of a properly-disengaging clutch
- Multiple other issues and annoyances fixed, including the infamous “crashed pedal”
Every Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kit ships complete with everything needed to install, including our Unrestricted and Heat-Wrapped Stainless Braided Clutch Hydraulic Line (eliminating the need for the "drill mod"), all necessary hardware, and easy to understand instructions. Installation generally takes 90-120 minutes (minor drilling required) and adjustments can be made at any time without any tools.
Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kits are capable of more fluid flow than any competitor’s offering, and we stand behind them with a LIFETIME Warranty against leakage. All warranties are void if the line is melted, crimped or has any holes caused by the end user or application. Rest assured that with our kit installed, you'll have the quickest shifting, most reliable kit available under your left foot!

Option Guide: Do I need the Shorter Line, Longer Line or Both Lines?
Our kit in it's basic form includes the Heat-Wrapped, Stainless Braided "Short Line" and DOES NOT require removal of the transmission. If you want to eliminate the bulky OEM quick disconnect fitting and the factory steel & expandable rubber line that connects to your slave cylinder, our "Long Line" is a Heat-Wrapped, Stainless Braided full-length line that couples our Master directly to your stock slave cylinder. This line provides the best, most unrestricted connection, but requires transmission removal to install. If you don't want to remove your transmission now, but plan to later, you can order the kit with both lines. Don't forget our Remote SPEEDbleeder Line while you've got the transmission out (sold separately!)
Option Guide: Do I need the Billet Bracket Socket?
When installing this kit, you'll need to use a 1-1/2" socket to tighten the large retaining nut onto the main bracket. Our Billet Bracket Socket is specifically designed for this task since it allows you to tighten it with a compact 3/8" drive ratchet instead of the large, standard 1/2" drive ratchet (and it looks great, too.) If you don't have a 1-1/2" socket, here is a great opportunity to add one to your toolbox (in billet aluminum!)

Great clutch feel
Ordered a tick performance master cylinder kit after the stock one went bad on my C6 Corvette. After install the pedal has a good stiff feel to it and is more predictable. Higher RPM shifts are easier and less "notchy" feeling and gear lockout hasn't happened yet. Amazing when this master cylinder can do with a stock clutch.

Slick Upgrade
Nice piece for sure, got it installed but waiting on the rain to go away to try it out!

Shame on Chevy
Tick has gone above and beyond expectation. It's a shame that Chevy didn't use tick performance design for the clutch master in the first place. This thing is robust and is worth every penny. You are definitely getting what you pay for.

Gone are the clutch problem!
The Tick Adjustable Clutch Cylinder is what GM should have provided with the C6. When placed side by side with the factory original, you understand why you've had so many clutch problems. Once installed, the mid pedal clutch engagement is gone and you'll have nice firm shifts with the engage point much closer to the floor. I do recommend planning a day or two to install it, as it is challenging because of the small spaces involved. Also remove the windshield washer reservoir, as it gives you much more space for installation. Last, you might want to consider adding a clutch pedal stop (simple 1.5 inch elevator bolt from your local hardware store).
