The leading name in clutch technology has released 8.5″ Optimum-RR kits specific to C5/C6 Corvette and LS-based Camaro high-performance race applications. Joining the Quarter Master RR line of clutches are the new 8.5″ Optimum-RR Clutch Kits designed specifically for C5/C6 Corvettes and the latest generation of LS-based Camaros. Extensive on-track testing and a victory in the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational with driver Danny Popp and Raft Motorsports, one of the leading Corvette privateers in the country, have proven already that these kits are for those serious about competing in road racing, autocross and SOLO II events with SCCA and NASA. Designed to fulfill the wishes of every Corvette and Camaro racer, the new kit features 8.5″ Optimum-RR Two-Disc Clutch with a fully rebuildable cover optimized for strength without compromising weight or moment-of-inertia. It also utilizes the latest hardened steel pinned cover leg, with .250″ thick friction material that allows for quick, smooth shifts. Replacing the troublesome stock release bearing, this kit includes an ultra-reliable Tri-Lite Hydraulic Release Bearing with adapter that mates to the existing bellhousing and inlet and bleeder lines.
The complete kit includes the Optimum-RR Clutch with button flywheel, Tri-Lite Hydraulic Release Bearing and adapter, and all necessary hardware, including clutch fasteners and replacement flywheel bolts.
