The primary objective was to reduce the height of the intercooler setup to accommodate vehicles with limited space without compromising on the performance and aesthetics of the part.

How does the Ultra Low Profile Intercooler differ in airflow design?

• It features modified entry angles and tapers to ensure optimal airflow while maintaining a low package height. The design focus was on both performance and appearance.

What is the compatibility of the Ultra Low Profile Intercooler?

• It's compatible with Holley two-piece ram intake bases only. It's designed to fit both high and low ram manifolds from Holley. It will NOT fit a three-piece Ultra Low Ram Holley intake. It will require modifications to fit the mid-rise intake.

What are the dimensions and installation height of the intercooler?

• The total installation height from the valley surface to the top of the manifold is approximately 9.22 inches when using the Holley LS1 Lo-Ram Lower Intake. The height of the cooler from the base to the highest point is 4.75 inches.

What is included when purchasing this intercooler?

• It arrives fully assembled and not designed to be taken apart. It also comes with ARP hardware.

Can I modify my existing 1,400 horsepower intercooler to fit this new design?

• No, modification of existing intercoolers to fit this new design is not feasible due to differences in welded parts.

Is the Ultra Low Profile Intercooler available in different colors?

• The intercooler can be offered in black, but there's typically a 3-4 week wait due to the additional time required for coloring.

How does this intercooler affect airflow and engine performance?

• The intercooler is designed to straighten out airflow, leading to better distribution compared to standard setups. Despite being an air restriction, it cools and densifies the air, which can lead to more horsepower in various applications.

Will it fit the 417 Lower intake base?

• Yes, it will fit most intakes that use the Holley base mounting pattern. However, users should anticipate that the core is mounted roughly 1/8in lower than the mounting flange, so it may hit inside the intake. We have not tested all intakes on the market, only the Holley low and high-rise.

Has Tick done any testing?

• Yes, we’ve done limited flow and performance testing, primarily to assure that the airway can handle the flow and horsepower required to match our other 1,400hp intercooler.
