Transmission Technician

We’re the leader in Tremec Six-Speed Transmission parts and builds, with our shop car holding the current World Record for the fastest H-pattern in the ¼-mile. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated mechanic who can repair/build Tremec six-speed manual transmissions.

Our ideal candidate can handle the fast pace work environment with prior experience rebuilding manual transmissions. We offer anything from a simple rebuild to performance-oriented transmission builds.

Duties

• Performs transmission repair as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with company time allowances and standards.
• Inspect and Diagnose the cause of the malfunction.
• Remove and disassemble the transmission and perform repairs
• Advises Salesmen immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be made.
• Obtain needed parts via online orders
• Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Documents work performed and recommended on the repair order.

Requirements

• High-School Education or GED
• Formal mechanic training is a plus but not required
• Transmission rebuilding experience is a plus but not required. 
• Must have reliable transportation and pass a drug test
• Must be able to meet deadlines independently but be able to communicate and work with others when needed

We’re seeking an individual who wants to join our fun, fast team in Mount Airy, NC. This position is on-site only. Standard working hours, 8:30 am-5pm M-F. Pay varies based on experience.

Full-Time Salesperson

Immediate opening available for a motivated salesperson with interest in the LSx performance industry. Any potential applicant should have the following:

• Working knowledge of the LSx engine platform & related vehicles
• Any prior sales experience 
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Must be a driven individual that works hard and is detail-oriented
• Able to assist customers, make parts recommendations, and complete the sale
• Must be able to handle high call volume and maintain a professional attitude at ALL times

All of our sales are phone and internet-based, and you must be able to work efficiently, take phone orders, answer emails, and complete orders through our software. 

The ideal candidate does not know everything but can quickly learn the answers when assisting a customer. Applications are subject to a short quiz on LS engines.  

Our current sales staff each take in 120-180k in sales per month. We offer a flat hourly rate of $20 per hour for this new hire for the first three months. This pay structure shows we are serious about the position and allows a potentially hesitant sales person steady pay. 

After three months, the pay structure is commission-based, and any new hire can opt for the commission pay at any time during those first three months. All salespeople must meet a sales goal of 100k in sales each month, for those three months. We do not cap commissions.

CNC Machine Operator

Tick Performance is seeking a full-time CNC Machine Operator for 40hrs per week, and some overtime may be required. Tick Performance is a small, family owned company that manufactures and retails products for the aftermarket automotive industry. Our CNC machining division is the youngest part of our company, but also the fastest growing! This opening is for a full time employee who will perform daily machine operations and services that we provide. We are seeking an ambitious, motivated individual that is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in the CNC machining industry. This is the perfect chance to gain knowledge and experience while getting paid!

Job duties include:

• Setup job fixtures
• Identify tools needed for jobs
• Inspect and set tool lengths
• Identify materials needed for jobs
• Sawing materials
• General cleaning of equipment and work environment
• Material handling
• Simple part inspection
• Occasional product packaging

To qualify for this position, applicant must possess:
